Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow an attacker to
execute code under the privileges of the application.

The following versions of EZ PLC Editor are affected:
* EZ PLC Editor Versions 1.8.41 and prior
### 3.2 VULNERABILITY OVERVIEW

BUFFER CWE-119](https://cwe.mitre.org/data/definitions/119.html)
An attacker could use a specially crafted project file to corrupt the memory
and execute code under the privileges of the application.

has been assigned to this vulnerability. A CVSS v3 base score of 7.8 has been
assigned; the CVSS vector string is

9sg Security Team, working with Trend Micro's Zero Day Initiative, reported
this vulnerability to CISA.
## 4\. MITIGATIONS
EZAutomation recommends users [update to Version 1.9.0 or
later](https://www.ezautomation.net/access.php).
EZAutomation recommends the following workarounds to further reduce risk:
* Use project files from known sources only
