Building Automation primarily focuses on the monitoring and controlling of all subsystems of a building. These include process measurement and control (PMC) technology, safety technology that consists of access systems and fire and burglar alarms as well as equipment to measure energy consumption. In this field, we differentiate between three levels - the field level, the automation level and the management level.
